Stony Brook University College of Engineering and Applied Sciences
Strategic Communications Manager

I've come full circle. I am thrilled to be working at my alma mater, New York’s flagship university, where I earned a BA in English, magna cum laude, and was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.

As the Strategic Communications Manager for the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences (CEAS) at Stony Brook University, I have the privilege to keep learning and share stories about its brilliant professors and researchers and how they are making an impact on society.

I'm still involved with the mentoring program at Stony Brook University. As we say here, "I'm a Seawolf for Life."

I was an adjunct assistant professor after I earned my MBA. I also taught continuing education programs and participated as a speaker and a panelist on topics in marketing.

Interested in the law, I helped hundreds of attorneys from three different full-service law firms in their marketing and communication efforts.

Recognitions include:
✷NYS Citation for Service, NYS Senator Owen H. Johnson
✷Distinguished Service Award, Town of Islip
✷Achievement in Communications Award, IABC
✷Mentor Award, Public Relations Professionals of LI
✷40 Under 40, Long Island Business News

My love of American history was inspired by my Stony Brook University Professor Hugh G. Cleland. A tree 🌳 in his memory on campus, which I had the privilege to see planted, keeps growing strong.

I wrote a children's picture book about American fashion designer Claire McCardell and a middle grade history book about the first ladies. A member of the First Ladies Association for Research and Education (FLARE), I was recently appointed a Hutton House Lecturer at Long Island University/C.W. Post and was featured in East Wing Magazine, Newsday and Threads Magazine. I speak at libraries, museums, and historical societies.
