The Faces Behind the 2025 PRPLI Awards
The Public Relations Professionals of Long Island (PRPLI) is grateful to our esteemed judging panel. These industry leaders contributed countless hours reviewing submissions, engaging in thoughtful deliberation, and identifying the campaigns and professionals that truly exemplify excellence in our field:
Jeffrey S. Morosoff is chair of the Department of Journalism, Media Studies, and Public Relations at The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University. He teaches graduate and undergraduate PR courses and is the faculty adviser to Hofstra’s Public Relations Student Society of America (PRSSA) chapter. Jeff’s 30-year PR career included positions at Cablevision, Long Island Association, Town of Babylon, New York Institute of Technology, and Nassau Community College. He has received Hofstra’s Distinguished Teacher of the Year Award, Public Relations Professionals of Long Island’s Jack Rettaliata Lifetime Achievement Award, and the International Association of Business Communicators’ Achievement in Communications Award. Jeff serves on the Fair Media Council’s board of directors and the advisory board of the Museum of Public Relations.
Hilary Topper is the CEO of HJMT Public Relations, Inc. She also runs HJMT Media Company, LLC, writing two blogs – http://www.ATriathletesDiary.com and NY Lifestyle Blog, http://www.HilaryTopper.com. She is also an avid podcaster and social media influencer. Her podcast has more than 200,000 listeners. In addition, she is an adjunct professor at Hofstra University. She teaches digital communications. In her spare time, she is a triathlon, running, and swimming coach. She is currently gearing up for an 8.2-mile swim in Michigan in August. Lauren DelGuidice is a Senior Corporate Media Relations Specialist at Henry Schein, Inc. She specializes in connecting people, fostering strong relationships, and crafting compelling stories that drive meaningful impact. With expertise spanning media relations, strategic communications, and more, Lauren is dedicated to shaping narratives that resonate across diverse audiences. In her role, she helps to humanize the Henry Schein brand while spotlighting expert voices and measuring results. With experience working across global teams, she understands the nuances of communications in different markets around the globe. Lauren is Co-Chair of Henry Schein’s Women’s Leadership Network employee resource group, helping to design and lead programs that empower women and foster professional development. She was a member of the PRPLI board from 2022 to 2024 and has also judged the Fair Media Council’s Folio Awards for several years.
Nicole Castillo is the owner of WordHampton Public Relations, an East End PR firm that has been serving clients in the New York Metro Area for over 30 years. An expert in both media and client relations, she continues to garner positive publicity for major events, food and beverage products, and lifestyle and hospitality services. Castillo has a roster of several award winning campaigns which includes two Public Relations Society of America’s New York Chapter Big Apple Awards. Castillo was honored as one of the future leaders of Long Island at the Long Island Business News 40 Under 40 Awards, has been a member of PRPLI for several years and most recently was elected to the board of the Greater East Hampton Chamber of Commerce.
